A strategic location is essential for Varekamp's fresh produce logistics, as is the presence of other companies in the agri & food sector.

Varekamp's mission is to completely unburden the customer, so that the customer can focus on marketing its products. Varekamp does this by forming a strong link in the (international) logistics chain, from collection to distribution of the products. All under the motto: "Whatever your product, fresh finds its place at Varekamp. Complete logistics is therefore indispensable for Varekamp. Just like a strategic location, says Willem Nowee. Varekamp found both at abc westland.

It was Ben Varekamp who founded Varekamp in 1953. Varekamp joined the Van Rijn Group in 1993. After having been part of the Kloosterboer Group for a period of five years, Varekamp became independent in March 2019. The current owner is Nowee Fresh Logistics Holding, Willem Nowee, who has been director of the company since 2005. Varekamp has been located at the abc westland business park since 2001, with a 25-minute drive from the port of Rotterdam and 45 minutes from Schiphol Airport and surrounded by companies in the agri & food sector. "At abc westland all disciplines in the sector come together".

The roots of Varekamp lie in Westland, Willem is proud of that. This mentality is also reflected in abc westland: "Guts, decisive and enterprising". According to him, that connects the companies on the site. "And bonding is power. The companies on abc westland strengthen each other."

Varekamp has 26 cold stores with approximately 7,000 pallet positions, each with its own parameters. With 11,000 m2 and 18 docks, Varekamp is a major tenant at abc westland.
